Do I have to camp?
Kinda — everyone staying overnight sleeps under canvas in the Burrows (any tent at all, and we can help with shared tents and kit). If camping isn't for you, you're very welcome to join for the days and sleep elsewhere.
Do I have to play D&D?
Not at all. It's a big part of the weekend for those who want it, and completely ignorable for those who don't. If you're curious, beginners are actively welcomed and characters can be made for you.
Do I need a costume?
Not at all — garb is joyfully encouraged, never required. Warm clothes and sensible shoes are the only true requirement. For ideas, inspiration and pictures, see the

Can children come?
Yes — kids are welcome and the site is built for them. Note them on your RSVP.
Can I bring alcohol?
Yes — alcohol is allowed on site under the campsite's rules, and we hold the relevant permissions. Bring your drink of choice; there will also be mead, and plenty of cosy non-alcoholic options.
What food should I bring?
Your own food for the weekend — day-to-day cooking and food storage lives at the Burrows kitchen. The Den's kitchen and fridge are reserved for potluck dishes, feast food and Makers' Market makings only. Add a dish for Friday's potluck if you can, and camp snacks.
Is there parking? Are there showers?
Yes and yes. Parking is on site, and the Den has toilets and hot showers. Its kitchen and fridge are reserved for the potluck, feast and Makers' Market — everyday cooking happens at the Burrows kitchen.
What happens if it rains?
It's a British campsite in August, so: possibly nothing, possibly everything. There's the lodge, shelters and fire circles — the quests continue, slightly damper. Bring waterproofs and embrace the atmosphere.
Can I come for only part of the weekend?
Yes — the RSVP asks which nights you're staying, so day-trippers and single-nighters are entirely welcome. Saturday is the fullest day if you can only make one.
What will it cost?
£65 per person — it covers the venue, activities, shared supplies and general weekend magic. Payment details to follow. If cost is an issue, please speak to us.
Is this instead of a wedding?
Atlas and Tom are eloping, so this weekend is the big celebration — the party, the feast, the gathering of everyone they love. No church, no speeches, just a woodland and all of you.
